What is the perfect rug size for me?

Among all rugs made in the USA, it is really common to find area rugs, to know what is the perfect area rug for you, we have created a simple step-by-step guide to help you choose the floor covering that better adapts to the space you have available.

-Lay your room out first and then putting down painter’s tape to figure out where you’d like your rug to be, keep in mind the rug dimensions, 8x10 rugs are probably the most common

-The right area rug can fit beneath all major furniture in the space where you want it to be

-It is important to make sure there are about 10 to 20 inches between the edges of the rug and the walls of the room where you are using it.

-It can happen that the space you measure out is between two standard rug sizes, go with the bigger one as long as it will still fit in the room. The additional inches can allow your decor to shift slightly without it being a big issue while going a few inches too small can make a room look awkward.

- In case you are choosing a shag runner rug for your restroom. You should make sure to leave 4 to 5 inches of flooring visible on all sides of your rug.
