The ancient deserts and mountains of Persia come the designs of these beautiful flat-woven Soumak rugs. Much like the popular Kilim rugs, the Soumak is crafted in the flat woven style. These immaculate designs feature a geometric pattern bearing many tribal motifs. Hand-woven in India using the finest semi-worsted New Zealand Wool, each rug was created to resemble the impression of that era using the same symmetrical knots as used in the original Persian Soumak rugs.
